“Of these words that we name Artemisia, it is said that Diana did find them and delivered their powers to Chiron the Centaur, who first from these words set forth a leechdom and he named these worts from a the name of Diana, Artemis, that is Artemisias.”
–Herbarium of the Greek Apuleius
As you can see, there is rarely coincidence in the naming of similars.
From Dreams to Cuisine, Moxibustion to Absinthe; Mugwort, Wormwood and Tarragon are among the many relatives of the Artemisias. With Artemis as our guide we will draw our focus to the auspicious connection between these plants, their medicine and the reflection offered in the archetypical Goddess who oversees them.

BIO: Sheri M Hupfer
As a daughter of Hermes and the Maiden of the ‘Alchemy of Artemis’,
the landscape of my journey has been carried by years of Plant work, Mythology & Personal practice as it relates to the Natural world.
Rooted in the triunes of Internal Alchemy, I see the presence of undeniable influence and reflection of both Plants and Planets on the evolution of the persona.
Through the collecting of bone petal, root + metal,
Much of my medicine is presented in the form of Adornment, through the Rhythm of Somatics & Song
and in the full- bodied-dose of Spagyrics.
