Intro to Botanical Perfumery with Crystal Davidson

Explore the botanical world through the art of aromatics!
Learn how to blend your own botanical perfumes, plus ritual and magical aromatic blends in this 4 session course.

This is an experiential, fun class where you’ll be guided through making:

• a perfume oil
• perfume solid (in beeswax)
• alcohol based perfume
• making an accord to use in blends

Each of the above have their own physical and energetic properties, custom made for you, by you to take home.
You will learn:

• What an accord is and how to work with them
• Aromatic history, applications of use, perfume blending in proper proportion with base/heart/top notes, fixatives, and types of mediums
• How to approach botanical perfume building for fun and also with spiritual and energetic purposes
• How to capture the essence of a place, a memory, your favorite botanicals and more
• Basic essential oil chemistry and energetics in relation to botanical perfume blending, and safety

Her passion is to facilitate connection of people to the vitality of life through botanicals, experiences, and magic. COVID POLICIES
We continually monitor the current situation and adjust our policies as needed. Because this class takes place indoors, we will be requiring masks at this time and all students will be asked to wash hands upon arrival. Our goal is to have a wonderful class and to do our best to keep folks healthy so we can continue to gather. Thank you for you cooperation and please reach out to us before signing up if you have questions/concerns about our policies.

SUPPLIES
In addition to your kit, we will provide: Beeswax, Jojoba, vitamin E, perfume test strips, and droppers, class booklet and hand-outs, (3) 2ml amber bottles, (1) 5 ml amber dropper bottle, (1) perfume tin, (1) mini atomizer.
You bring 190 proof alcohol, a couple small mason jars with lids, a journal for notes.

CLASS REFUND POLICY
Deposits and class payments are non-refundable, but may be used toward future classes within a one year period if you contact us to withdraw at least 2 weeks BEFORE the class begins. If you withdraw after this time period, all payments made are not refundable or transferrable AND your full balance is still due if your payment plan is not complete. Please understand that your tuition pays for a seat during this session and that is why we have to stick to this policy. If you have to miss classes, we will work with you to help you make up the material. We know that circumstances change and life challenges come up, but we cannot make exceptions.
