If you are ready to focus on local wild plants and immersing yourself in our botanical bioregion while learning directly from the plants, this is the class for you!
Our main focus will be the practical applications of local plant medicine. Classes will include:
- 9 full weekends of in-person study
- plant identification
- practical experience using a botanical key
- organoleptic testing using our 5 senses
- communing with plant consciousness (aka “plant sitting”)
- discovering bioregional plant guilds
- printed class notebook with plant family pages & botany resources
- plant family recognition…and more!
This class will be held primarily outdoors in various wild and/or cultivated places around Austin and central Texas. We will meet for 9 weekends (Sat & Sun) from late September 2023 through early May 2024.

PAYMENT PLANS
Individual monthly automatic payment plans are offered as needed (serviced by PayPal). A minimum of $1000 is due by Aug 31st, 2023. Please see price options above and email sacredjourneyherbalism@gmail.com with any payment related questions or to inquire about a payment plan. We prefer that payment plans be complete by Dec 31st, 2023. It is best to sign up for the course early to receive all discounts and begin your payment plan in advance.
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
Some books will be required for the course. Also, the tools of a wildcrafter and for medicine making will need to be purchased or acquired over the course of the first few months. This includes clippers, jars, alcohol or vegetable glycerin, etc. Individual state park entrance fees are not covered by tuition (typically $5 – $10).
CLASS REFUND POLICY
Class payments are non-refundable but may be transferred to another class if notice is given 2 weeks prior to the start of class. Please read our full Class Refund Policy.
