The plant in the video is probably Sphaeralcea fendleri (and not S. angustiflolia), but since all species of Sphaeralcea can be used more or less interchangeably, I won't worry too much. Like most (all) plants in the mallow family, the leaves, flowers and roots are demulcent and can be used topically to soothe skin and internally to soothe mucous membranes.
