An herbalist is one who lives at the edge of the world of people and the world of the plants. We are stewards of the medicinal plants, of the natural world, of the Earth herself. Herbalists connect people with plants so that they may heal. Herbalists also train others who wish to learn this sacred craft. It is our sacred joy and honor to do the work we do. The path of the herbalist is, ultimately, a sacred journey.

Sacred Journey School of Herbalism reflects Ginger Webb’s deep love for the plants and for humanity; her study with the late great herbalist Michael Moore; her geeky passion for botany, wild plants, and plant families; her years of experience making plant-based medicines; her reverence for the wisdom of the ancients; and her belief that we all have access to the healing wisdom of the plant world simply by virtue of the fact that we are alive and share consciousness with all life.

Here’s one student’s account of her experience at Sacred Journey School of Herbalism:

As I’m sitting here making another giant batch of fire cider, I can’t help but miss the wonderful people I got to spend nearly a year with, as we shared the wonderful experience of knowledge in plant medicine that Ginger Webb so lovingly created for us. I’m not the best with words, but I will say that I gained so much understanding of my own self and my connection with Mother Earth through the course with Sacred Journey School and I encourage everyone who is considering any course in learning herbal medicine to just take the leap. I now have open and loving relationships with plants and an even stronger connection with my own body and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to all of my fellow classmates for making that experience so amazing. And I’ll never forget us singing around the campfire and laughing til’ our faces hurt! -Erin G., SJS Level 1: Herbal Foundations
