Mullein
Verbascum thapsus
Scrophulariaceae (Figwort Family)
Medicinal Minute with Ginger Webb
A note from Ginger:
Mullein is an introduced plant that shows up in wild open areas of disturbed soil. Leaves, roots and flowers may be used for various different conditions, each with an affinity with different organ systems or anatomy. For instance, the leaves are well known to support lung health, but may also be used in an infused oil topically for joint pain. The root is less often known but an excellent remedy for interstitial cystitis, as well as to support bone re-alignment after a break.
